ABOUT

MARCELA PI (Marcelina Piątek) is a visual artist working across illustration, photography and visual storytelling. Her practice is interdisciplinary and combines artistic research with visual communication, with a strong focus on materiality, texture and natural forms.

She is a graduate of the Academy of Silesia, where she studied Interior Design and completed her diploma project in an interdisciplinary art studio. During her studies, she developed an individual artistic technique based on experimental work with physical materials and their later digital transformation.

She also completed a course in Digital Art, Exlibris and Personalised Art at the University of Silesia. In addition, she holds professional qualifications as a florist, which strongly influence her sensitivity to nature, organic structures, colour and texture.

For over ten years, she worked professionally in photography, mainly in portrait and wedding photography, developing a strong sense of image, narration and visual storytelling.

She is currently studying Art History at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin and Media Content & Creative Writing at the University of the National Education Commission. Her work explores themes related to nature, memory, love and history, and is based on a continuous search for new media and forms of expression.
